Round aspheric lens - three times magnification

This 3x model is the largest round handheld magnifying glass in the range, and comes with a host of helpful features for professional and home users. It has a 2¼"/60mm aspheric lens made from lightweight PXM plastic, with a scratch-resistant coating on both sides. As you would expect, lens quality is second to none, with superior optics and distortion-free visibility. The aspheric lens renders text and images sharp and clear, making it a comfortable magnifier for reading and inspection tasks. The lens rim and upper section are finished in off-white, a colour which easily blends into most backgrounds, thereby helping direct your eyes to the lens without any peripheral distraction.

LED illumination with different colour temperature options

A built-in SMD LED casts distinctive bright white light across your subject, enhancing contrast between letters and background so words become easier to read. 'Step-up' light technology maintains illumination level so you get consistent brightness when the LED is in use. Eschenbach estimates a life span of up to 50,000 hours for the LED, and a saving of energy that prolongs the life of the batteries (supplied). The Mobilux is supplied with two additional colour filters, in yellow or orange, for two additional colour temperature options over the main white light.

Ergonomic design with sliding switch

In the hand, the Mobilux LED feels solid but comfortable to hold. A black handle with soft, radiused edges, is easy to grip. A sliding switch in the centre glides up or down when you need to operate the light. You could be forgiven for taking little notice of the numbers you can see just above the switch but they contain some helpful extra information. To the left you can see the magnification strength; next to that is an additional number at the end showing the optimum working distance, in millimetres, for best text or image quality.

Additional user benefits on the handle

On the underside of the handle, a battery compartment features a simple locking clip, while inside a raised emboss diagram show which way to insert the batteries. The attention to detail doesn't stop there. Punched into the bottom of the handle are two holes, which allow a lanyard (not supplied) to be threaded through if required. Protect the lens when not in use by sliding over the soft case, which is supplied. Also includes two AA batteries, user instructions and cleaning guide.

Hands free usage option

If you'd like to turn your Mobilux into a hands-free magnifier, an optional Mobase stand

is also available. Specially designed for this magnifier, the Mobase is made from sturdy black plastic, with two built-in positions so you can use it hands free at different magnifying angles.

Delivery Schedule

Our stock levels are generally excellent which usually enables us to process orders on the day they are received. This means that actual delivery is normally well within our target of 7 days for UK addresses and 21 days for other worldwide addresses. If there is any further delay you will be notified by e-mail or phone. If the delay is unacceptable you can cancel your order without penalty.

UK deliveries include FREE postage and packing. The price you see is the price you pay.

We use various despatch services, including Royal Mail and various courier companies, in accordance with the size, value, weight or urgency of an order.

Non-UK deliveries are generally subject to a delivery charge of £4.95 for goods up to £50, rising approximately £5 per £50 order value thereafter. This threshold may be different for some destinations where the costs of postage are especially high.

All goods are subject to availability but we also reserve the right to refuse to supply you with goods. We will not be liable for any compensation/damages if we do not supply you.

If we cannot supply you with an item we will refund you in full.

Making A Purchase

To purchase any product, simply click on the item that you wish to buy and put it into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We accept the following forms of payment -

Credit/Debit Card: we accept most major credit and debit cards. Charges are made in UK Pounds Sterling but will appear on your credit card statement in your own currency. All transactions are made in the store using a secure server.

Bank transfer (trade customers only): trade customers can make payment by bank transfer, details of which we will send separately at time of order/invoice.

You will own the goods once we have received payment in full, upon which delivery will be made as per our Delivery Schedule (above).

Tax Charges

All orders include 20% VAT in accordance with current UK fiscal law. You may be liable for any local or importation taxes due on your purchase.

Returns

Our returns policy and refund procedure is outlined below.

If you receive an item that is not required, or if it is damaged, or incorrect in any way, please contact us in the first instance by email or phone. We will advise how and where to return any item, and any other instructions that may be helpful.

We offer a money-back Guarantee under the following circumstances:

Goods Damaged or Faulty: if the goods you receive have been damaged in transit or are found to be faulty we will replace or refund your purchase in full. This includes your costs for returning goods to us (up to a pre-agreed level).

Goods Not Required (UK): We will refund you in full provided that any unwanted goods are returned safely in their original packaging/condition; and that we are notified promptly of your wish to return goods (see below).

Goods Not Required (Worldwide): Same as UK except that we reserve the right to deduct 20% of your total order value for handling/re-stocking.

Note: our Guarantee excludes the cost of returning unwanted goods, returns from you damaged in transit or not received by us. It is your responsibility to ensure that we receive goods in satisfactory original condition.

To qualify for our Guarantee you must notify us within 10 days of receiving goods that you wish to return them.

Refunds

Upon safe and satisfactory receipt of returned items, refunds are made back to the card used for the original purchase. These are made online through a secure, third party payment provider. We always aim to issue refunds promptly but actual processing times may vary between different card companies. We have no control over this so please allow 1-3 days for payment to appear back in your account.

You can cancel an order without penalty at any time, but if it has already been despatched, then you will be responsible for its return before we can refund you.
