Round aspheric lens - four times magnification

This 4x Mobilux LED magnifier features the largest round lens in the range, and comes with a host of helpful features for professional and home users. It has a 2¼"/60mm aspheric lens made from lightweight PXM plastic, with a scratch-resistant coating on both sides. As to be expected, lens quality is outstanding, with superior, distortion-free optical visibility. The aspheric lens makes text and images appear clear and sharp, perfect for reading and inspection tasks. The lens rim and upper section are finished in off-white, so it blends into most backgrounds without any peripheral distraction to the eye.

LED illumination with different colour temperature options

A built-in SMD LED casts distinctive bright white light across your subject, enhancing contrast between letters and background so words become easier to read. Consistent brightness is ensured by 'Eschenbach's built-in 'step-up' light technology, which maintains illumination level during use use. The low-energy LED is estimated by Eschenbach to have a lifespan of 50,000 hours, also helping make batteries last longer. If you need to tone down the brightness, there are two additional orange and yellow filters which snap on over the white LED to change the colour temperature.

Ergonomically-styled for user comfort

In the hand, the Mobilux LED feels solid but comfortable. The black handle has soft, radiused edges, so it is easy to grip. A central switch slides up or down smoothly when you need to operate the light. The handle also contains useful printed information, including lens magnification strength on the left plus an additional number alongside, showing the optimum working distance, in millimetres, for best text or image quality.

Batteries and soft case supplied

A battery compartment on the underside of the handle, a features an easy open-closure clip. Inside the battery compartment there's even an embossed diagram showing which way to insert the batteries. On the bottom of the handle there are two punched holes, which allow a lanyard (not supplied) to be threaded through if required. The lens can be protected when not in use thanks to a soft, slide-on protective cover. Protect the lens when not in use by sliding over the soft case, which is supplied. Also includes two AA batteries, user instructions and cleaning guide.

Optional stand accessory for hands free use

You can convert your Mobilux into a hands-free magnifier if required, with the optional Mobase stand. Made from sturdy black plastic, the Mobase allows you to position the magnifier over any subject in two different usage positions.
